They are obsessed with their appearance, are cruel to other people and even to each other. This all changes after Emma is raped at a party by multiple boys. The incident is recorded and plastered all over social media and a firestorm ensues. Not only is Emma’s side of the story largely ignored, she finds herself the centre of a modern day public shaming ritual. She is blamed for ruining the lives of the “good natured” boys.

Entretanto, no mundo real, depois de ser encontrado o corpo de uma jovem de 22 anos, violada e assassinada de noite, a polícia australiana emitiu o seguinte comunicado: "take responsibility for your own safety". E eu que julgava que a culpa pelos crimes cabia exclusivamente aos criminosos e que a responsabilidade pela segurança cabia às polícias - trabalho pelo qual são pagos/as.
